0 Trim any undesired fat from the chicken breast and place it in a large pot. Add water to the pot, enough to completely cover the chicken. 1 Boil the chicken on medium-high heat until cooked through and no longer pink, approximately 15-25 minutes depending on the amount of chicken you have to boil. The internal temperature should read 165 degrees Fahrenheit with a meat thermometer when the chicken is cooked through. 2 Remove the chicken from the water and place in a large bowl.
